Both fabrics are 100 per cent polyester with an acrylic foam backing and are being marketed to consumers as being suitable for bedrooms and home theatres. “We find that questions from consumers really centre around a problem they have in the home that they have not been able to find a suitable solution for. As our products are custom made, we can recommend certain products that will have little to no light gap and our wider range of fabrics ensures that we have something new for customers looking for that blockout solution,” says Jenny Brown, national marketing manager, Australian Window Furnishings.

Acacia Fabric comes with a subtle vertical texture in 10 colours and has a neutral foam backing, while Hyams is a plain weave fabric available in 12 colours with a tonal satin foam finish. Both fabrics are UV resistant, have excellent Solar Optical Properties and carry a five year warranty.
